TREND: 70s ACCESSORIES

Book the appointment for that feather cut, order those flares and dig out your lava lamp: it’s time to channel your inner Farrah Fawcett and time hop back to the 1970s. In an era totally focussed on peace and love, the female wardrobe reflected Britain’s newly-acquired laid back attitude. It-girls would opt for comfortable-yet-chic bell bottoms, floppy Fedora hats, midi dresses and Birkenstocks, to achieve an undone, naturally beautiful look. By night 70s disco rules applied - with mini skirts in vibrant patterns, giant statement jewellery, and knee high boots. Fast-forward 40 years, and the 70s trend is back for good – and I’ll bet you’ve seen at least one Fedora hat so far today. The S/S ’15 catwalks were completely awash with bell bottoms in almost every colour, pattern, style and cut imaginable to provide a modern, fresh take on the much loved trend, and textured knee high boots have dominated the legs of every Brit girl in the fashion know. But why stop just with your wardrobe? 70s accessories appeal to everything that Anna Lou herself adores. Think oversized, chunky, colourful pieces that are often embellished with glittering jewels. In other words, Anna Lou + 70s style = a match made in fashion heaven. Dip a toe into the 70s accessories trend by stacking a few colours of the Chevron bangle for Instagram-worthy arm candy, or give your outfit a cheeky accent with the colour-popping Daisy Resin Earrings. Or go all out and make Anna Lou proud with a statement acrylic bib necklace. Fit for a true 70s disco diva, this unique and eye-catching necklace will bring that mini skirt and boots to life and have you Queen of the dancefloor in no time. Groovy baby! And if you needed even more persuasion, Anna Lou's sending peace n' love with 50% off all 70s jewellery for a limited time only.

The Interview Outfit featuring Anna Lou of London

We love blogging and bloggers and this week we’re especially loving Becca of Fashion-Train and her blog post about The Interview Outfit featuring Anna Lou of London jewellery. Working in fashion, it can often be difficult to meet the balance between being appropriately smart with demonstrating your eye for style and your ability to show it. In some offices, trainers and a sweatshirt are the norm with anything more being a bit showy, whereas in others, heels are an absolute must so upon first arrival, your outfit needs to be acceptable across a range of offices. Becca helps us on our way with this tricky dilemma in ‘The Interview Outfit – Gingham Dress and Leather Jacket’, making sure that no matter what your ultimate working wardbrobe may be, that you’re prepared for the initial meeting. This was what Becca had to say; ‘Since working in an office I've become more interested in 'workwear' clothes and staying stylish whilst at work. It's different working in retail as you can wear pretty much whatever you feel comfortable in but staying smart and stylish is a little bit more difficult! This outfit is the sort of outfit I'd wear to an interview/typical day at work.’

Becca The Interview Outfit - Gingham dress and leather jacket

‘I've paired this dress with one of my favourite necklaces from Anna Lou of London! It's bright neon which I really like and it means it brightens up pretty much ANY outfit and adds a little bit more personality into an outfit.’

‘A shift dress like this is more of a day-time dress but can easily be worn out at night too with a pair of bright heels and a bright clutch bag!’

Choose it, Style It, Shoot it... The Love Necklace by What I Bought Today

We're loving an all gold jewellery look at the moment and it seems one of our blogger ambassadors, Anneli of the blog What I Bought Today is in agreement. We asked her to style up one of our most popular necklace designs, the love necklace, and along with some of our gold stacking rings she's put together a great easy weekend look. She's made double denim look pretty damn stylish and the gold tones of her jewellery compliment the subtle shades of her outfit perfectly. Read more about Anneli's styling tips below... The Love Necklace by What I Bought Today What I bought Today Love NecklaceLove Necklace by What I Bought Today"I am so into gold at the moment; layered, dainty, statement and unique styles are my current favourites and I love anything personalised." "I was so pleased to be asked to be one of the blogger brand ambassadors for Anna Lou of London! So much of the range is right up my street, and fits perfectly in together with my existing jewellery. I chose the dainty ‘Love' chain, which looks great together with other gold pieces on my wrists and hands, to complement the overall look" Love Necklace by What I Bought TodayWhat I Bought Today gold jewellery"I also adore the more chunkier gold trio ring, which I layered together with two simple gold rings. It’s all about adding your own touches to your jewellery." Love Necklace by What I Bought Today"I'll be wearing my Anna Lou of London pieces stacked, layered or on their own - simple pieces go with everything." We're also pretty pleased to have Anneli on board as a brand ambassador. To see the full post and get more tips on how to style this outfit, check out her feature here. Choose It, Style It, Shoot It... The Teardrop Earrings by Not Dressed as Lamb!

Time for another Choose it, Style it, shoot it and this week we're talking to blogger ambassador Catherine from the style blog, Not Dressed as Lamb about how to wear dressy earrings for day. Rose Gold Teardrop Earrings by Not Dressed as Lamb Teardrop Earrings by Not Dressed as LambWe love how Catherine has taken quite a dressy, sophisticated earring and turned it into the perfect day wear piece with pastel hued clothing and statement pieces. The rose gold of the earrings works perfectly with the blush pinks and whites of her outfit while the burgundy shoes pull the whole look together. "I chose the rose gold teardrop stud earrings because they're subtly glamorous - very pretty but quite fierce at the same time. I'm really loving rose gold over standard gold at the moment so it was nice to have the different colour options." Teardrop Earrings by Not Dressed as Lamb"I wore them with winter white and blush pink - one of my favourite colour combinations this winter. I liked the contrast of the soft chunky knit of my scarf against the sparkle of the earrings; scarves always hide necklaces in winter so I like to wear fabulous earrings instead." "They'll look great with my hair up come Summer, which I'll be more likely to do once it's a bit warmer. I'm always partial to yellow dresses for the summer (I have three), so they'll be a lovely piece to wear with sunshine yellow - and white too. I like the idea of an all-white outfit with rose-gold jewellery: very chic and simple - let the accessories do the talking, I say!" Sounds great to us! The Most Stylish Celebrity Mums

With Mother's Day just around the corner (if you don't have a gift sorted yet then look here) we thought we'd pay homage to some of our favourite and most stylish celebrity mums, those women who seem to juggle career with bringing up children and still manage to look great doing it (We're sure their happy bank balance has a lot to do with that, of course). These are the gals we look to for style inspiration that can be both functional enough for the school run but still show off a bit of personality, and so we've put together a few Anna Lou pieces which we think would work well with their designer wardrobes. So no matter who's style you prefer, here's our guide to perfecting their look. Most Stylish celebrity mumsVB just had to get the number one spot, seeing as she's turned herself from Spice girl to fashion designer and s often seen carrying a, just as stylish, Harper on her hip while wearing 4 inch heels. If this high glamour princess of posh is your style inspiration then recreate her look with a chic silk scarf, rose gold stacking rings, sophisticated engraved disc necklace and adorable heart charm bracelet. most stylish celebrity mumsYou'd hardly know Jessica ever had children, the speed at which she leapt back into shape but as far as style goes, she has to be one of the most polished mum's we know of. She never sets a foot wrong and cleverly sticks to key pieces such as skinny jeans, well cut blazers and cute yet comfortable footwear. Style points all the way. To get her look add colourful details to a basic outfit such as our bright blue silk scarf and stacking bangles and keep your hair in check with a chic band or accessory. most stylish celebrity mumsOk so she has model genes which puts her on some whole other style level but Ms Kerr has literally never had a hair out of place, even when she was heavily pregnant. Since her son was born she's been back to her best in leather skinnies, short dresses and high boots, even going as far as coordinating her outfits with son Flynn at times. Get her look with co-ordinating a sophisticated teardrop necklace and earrings and dainty hyacinth bracelet. most stylish celebrity mumsEven though she's now based in London, Gywinnie still has that effortless Hollywood style, all blonde sunkissed hair, impeccable white tees and luxe designer seperates. Whether she's wearing statement gowns on the red carpet or cargo pants for the school run, there's no denying Gwyneth is one hot mama. Recreate her cool factor with a long line pendant like this woodland leaf necklace, and mix different textures on your wrists such as chunky chains with leather cuffs. most stylish celebrity mumsThat peroxide blonde hair that never has even a glimpse of roots, the impeccable make up and the coolest mum in town wardrobe, how does Gwen do it? Obviously designing her own clothing label. she knows a thing or two about style but even with three children, she's still our favourite rock chick. Get her punk style by adding some leather studded bracelets, a knuckleduster ring and cross necklace. Which celebrity mum's style is your fave? Tweet us @annalouoflondon or follow us on Facebook.

Here she shows us the one piece of jewellery that's giving her true motivation at the moment, and how she is wearing it for Spring. The Achieve Necklace by Chopstick Panorama Achieve Tag NecklaceAchieve Necklace"My style changes as much as the weather does in London. So I chose the Achieve Tag Necklace exactly for that reason: I wanted something that I can incorporate in the variety of my outfits. And the word “Achieve” is so good to get me motivated throughout the day!" Achieve NecklaceAchieve Necklace"It’s so easy to style the tag necklace, since it goes with simply everything I wear. Especially for such a simple outfit, it adds a little bit of glamour." Achieve Necklace"Once Summer hits and all the Festivals start, it will be such a good piece for layering as well, making any festival outfit much more fun and exciting." Trend: Good enough to Eat...

Seeing as January is all about healthy living and post Christmas dieting, it's understandable that as Spring approaches we've got all things edible on the brain, even down to our fashion and jewellery choices. Lately we've been drooling (quite literally) over cute fashions that are good enough to eat and we thought it would be rude not to share some of our favourite fruity fashion spots. Trend: Spring Pastels

After the stormy weather last week, it's been great to see the first glimmer of sunshine this week wouldn't you agree? Spring has almost Sprung and therefore springlike trends are at the forefront of our minds. While it began last season with the ubiquitous pink coat, it seems that the spring pastels trend is sticking around for a while yet and the pink coat has been joined by it's friendly counterparts; the icy blue and creamy white coats. Over at LFW last weekend we certainly saw an abundance of pastel loving on the Somerset House cobbles and everyone we spoke to said that wearing those ice cream hues definitely put a Spring in their step after the long Winter. This trend is one that's set to get even bigger and better as the months go on and the weather warms up, and the great thing is that there is a shade for everyone and plenty of ways to wear it. So whether you are a fan of the peachy pinks, the minty greens or the baby blues, go pastel with your fashions this S/S and we promise you won't regret it. Take a look at our top pastel picks below... 5 top spring jewellery items from Anna Lou of London1. Heart acrylic studs 2. Blueberry Doilies Necklace 3. Bella studded bangle 4. Lilac bow bracelet 5. Aphrodite Luxe Necklace What do you think of the Pastel trend? Will you be wearing a pastel coloured coat?
