INTERVIEW: LA FASHION FOLIE

La fashion Folie is the popular fashion blog founded and written by the gorgeous Londoner Sophie Green. Sophie founded the blog in 2009, in it she writes about current trends, catwalk and high street fashion and shopping inspiration. La Fashion Folie is heavily based upon Sophie's love of French Style, from Breton tees to Lanvin, her love of France provided the inspiration behind her blog title... La Fashion Folie. Us girls at Anna Lou of London love Sophie's personal style, her outfit choices and inspiration always look super chic and I simply cannot get enough! So when I had the chance to interview the lovely Sophie Green, I jumped at it! Read the full interview with Sophie below: 1. Who is your style Inspiration? I seek style inspiration from fashion bloggers and fashion editors as opposed to celebrities. In particular I follow the blogs of Laura Fantacci from WIT blog (http://wearingittoday.blogspot.co.uk/) and Alex Stedman from The Frugality (http://www.the-frugality.com/). I also tear out editorials from fashion magazines – Red and Harpers Bazaar are my current favourites and I also keep brands look books I like for inspiration.  2. What is your favourite item in your wardrobe at the moment? I’ve just purchased a navy mesh material sleeveless blazer from Cos that I feel in love with and had to have. The price tag was eye-watering, (I can’t even bring myself to type it!) but I justified it to myself because it’s a versatile piece that it can be worn buttoned up as a dress or open, layered over knitwear, so I will get plenty of wear out it. 3. What new trends will you be buying in to for AW14/15? The whole tailoring and trainers trend intrigues me so I will be trying that. I have my eye on some Vans black leather skate shoes that I want to pair with smarter trousers. The trend for colourful faux fur coats and accessories is really fun & playful too – plus it’s cosy which is a major plus for me! 4. Do you have any fashion rules when putting together an outfit? I dress entirely dependent on mood – sometimes I want to be feminine and other times I want to do the androgynous thing so it depends entirely on who I want to be when I wake up in the morning! Although my outfits change I always wear a few key pieces of delicate jewellery to personalise my look. At the moment that’s my Thomas Sabo watch, my Monica Vinader friendship bracelet and my monogrammed Anna Lou of London disc necklace, I’d feel naked without them! 5. What is on your Anna Lou of London wish list? I’m obsessed with rose gold so anything in that metal is covetable to me. Anna Lou's double ended pearl stud earrings are also on my wish list – pearls are such a huge fashion trend at the moment and these have the Chanel/ Dior feel at a fraction of the price.
