This week we had the wonderful job of interviewing the lovely Laura potter from Tiny Twisst. We love Laura's unique and girly style. From dresses to jeans and patterned combos, she always manages to look great in anything she wears! We couldn't wait to ask her why she started blogging and what her style secrets and inspirations were!
Read the full interview with Laura below below:
1. What made you start blogging?
I have always read blogs and watched YouTube videos, so one day I just decided to start my own - I loved the creative side of it and knew it would be something I'd love.
2. How would you describe your own personal style?
I'd say my style was girly with a twist - I like to mix it up a little bit with a rocky vibe (such as a studded leather jacket!) and love mixing feminine and masculine pieces together. I try to have as much fun as possible with my styling, but also keep it comfortable. Jewellery plays a big part too - I love layering bangles!
3. Who is your style inspiration?
I really enjoy Fearne Cotton's wacky style, she's definitely not afraid of a pattern clash! I also really love the Olsen twins, they are the Queens of simplicity!
4. Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
I only wear crop tops with high waisted bottoms - I feel it's the 'crop top law' to only show a flash of flesh. Other than that, I'm pretty easy going!
5. What items can you not leave home without?
At the moment I am living in my Birkenstock's and leather jacket, this weather is so unpredictable - they seem to be my staple items, one to keep me cool and the other to keep me warm!
6. What's on your Anna Lou of London wish list?
Too much, probably! I think the bespoke pieces are really nice and it's lovely to have something so personal. I'm loving the Hamsa hand necklace. It's a beautiful piece and has a lot of nice meanings surrounding it:
I'm also loving the Chevron Bangles, I have one in black and I wear it so much, it's a brilliant piece:
Here are some of our favourite looks from Tiny Twisst:
Loving this monochrome ensemble! Laura accessorises this look with the Anna Lou of London acrylic Anchor Charm Necklace.
The print of this dress is gorgeous! Love the over sized style of the dress and the chunky heels. They work perfectly together!
