Requiring a weekend coffee and cupcake fix? Let Anna Lou of London be your personal travel guide! We have cherry picked these three scrummy-looking cupcake shops which will leave your mouth watering.
Bake a Boo
86 Mill Ln, Greater London NW6 1NL
A proudly kitsch and decadent tea-room which offers a bubbly afternoon tea (remember to book in advance!) and a personalised hen party service. Feast yourself on a selection of flavoured cupcakes and handmade treats, with vegan, low sugar and gluten free options.
Bea's of Bloomsbury
44 Theobalds Road, London, WC1X 8NW
I could not agree with their signature slogan: “Life is short, eat more cake”. Bea’s has three different café’s; however the original in Bloomsbury has to be the best. Bea’s, established in 2008, and offers a bespoke design your own wedding cake consultation and a selection of cupcakes and afternoon teas to suit a range of budgets. I’ve heard their brownies and blondies are to die for! Their original branch has an open air pastry kitchen which adds to the homely and comforting atmosphere, not to mention filling the café with a delicious smell!
47 Wilton Way, London E8 3ED
This quaint east end bakery began its journey at a stall in Broadway market. Violet Cakes is now located in east London and offers a delicious range of cookies and cupcakes (think salted caramel and violet-yum!). Not to mention their homemade, freshly squeezed lemonade! There is even a Violet bakery cook book available, if you fancy a bit of a bake off.
Imagine relaxing this sunny weekend in a cosy little café with a warming cup of tea and copious amounts of cake! Sounds perfect.
Needing a sweet-fix ASAP? On a diet? Not to worry. Have you seen this cute cupcake pendant for Anna Lou of London? All of the cuteness, none of the calories.
